Finishing a laminated glass with EVA film involves several steps. Here’s a detailed guide on how to do it:
Prepare the Glass: Cut the glass to the size you want and use Glass Edging Machines to shape the edges of the glasses to avoid hurting the silicon vacuum bagClean the Glass: Use purified water, deionized water, industrial alcohol, or ethanol to clean the glasses. Then, use hot wind to dry the glasses. Ensure there are no black spots, water marks, or fingerprints on the glasses. Apply the EVA Film: Put the EVA film on the bottom glass, ensuring it’s plain. Then, put the other glass on the EVA film. Use high-temperature-resistance tape to solidify the pre-laminated glass. Trim the EVA Film: Cut the extra EVA film that is outside the pre-laminated glass. Be careful not to pull the EVA film hard to avoid removing the EVA film. Cutting out the extra EVA film can help the film melt and seal the edges of the laminated glass, and it also helps to hold back vacuuming. Vacuum the Pre-Laminated Glass: When you put the pre-laminated glass in the silicon bag, ensure that each pre-laminated glass is 3-5cm away from each other to help vacuuming. Do not stop vacuuming until the laminated glass is cool to room temperature. If you stop vacuuming before this, bubbles might appear inside the laminated glass. Heat the Laminated Glass: Start the vacuum pump and check whether the silicon bag is leaking or not. The vacuum value should at least be 0.095Mpa. Push the silicon bag shelf into the oven and set the parameters of temperature and time. The low temperature stage is 60 degrees C and 15 minutes. The high temperature stage is 130 degrees C and 40 minutes. Stop heating when the temperature is lower than 75 degrees. Then, open the oven door and pull out the silicon shelf to help cooling. Don’t open the silicon bag or let cold water touch the laminated glass. Check the Laminated Glass: After the temperature is lower than 45 degrees, you can open the silicon bag and check the laminated glass.
Remember, the processing parameters for laminating glass with EVA film can vary depending on the EVA film manufacturer, the glass laminating machine manufacturer, the weather, and the moisture in your region. Therefore, you may need to adjust the processing parameters according to your real situation.
